ASA Beginning levels through advanced navigation (101, 103, 104,105) and Catamaran (114) are explained under “Series 1″ and Series 2”. The new element, (or level) to “Series 3” & “Series 4” is ASA 106: Advanced Coastal Cruising. This course teaches the knowledge and techniques to safely act as skipper and/or crew on a sailing vessel up to 50 feet in length in coastal and inland waters, in any conditions. Sailing, Navigating, Man Over Board are all done at night, along with light recognition and enhanced safety precautions. After completion of this course, neither snow nor rain nor gloom of night shall stay captain nor crew from the swift and safe completion of their voyage!
Series 3 is made up of ASA 104, 105 & 106. Series 4 is 105, 106 & 114. As with Series 1, you may add 114 to Series 3 (which includes an additional day).
